About to refinish my basement. Looking to install a gas fireplace. Mostly for ambiance; it doesn't really get much below 60' down there. 5-10k btu would be plenty. The install would be next to a window, which would be a convenient exhaust. I have a couple of ventless heaters elsewhere that work great, but I don't need the humidity in the basement. I'd like the unit to be as compact as possible and cost <$1k all in. Anything like that exist? Other ideas?
