Hi.

First, when I say pellet stove gasket I'm going to break that down into 2 basic types. One type, I'll call rope based I'd expect to use to line my stove's door or the glass inside that door, among other places. I'll classify it as the stuff that's longer than it is wide.

The second is flat and goes on various stove openings, and is what I am talking about. Here are links to some of the different size and shape gaskets that make up my Avalon Bay Pellet Stove so you know what I'm talking about.

These products, while commercially available, aren't exactly cheap. I was wondering if I could buy the material these gaskets are made out of it bulk, and cut them to shape myself. Does anyone have a lead on where I might buy such material?

TIA

I do not have any "paper" superwool gaskets on my stove I have switched all gaskets to silicone. When I first did it all but the room blower gasket were available in silicone. I bought a 1/8 inch thick sheet of silicone and made that room blower gasket. All gaskets for my stove are now commercially available in silicone. Not sure about Avalon

But they do sell sheets of superwool Liotherm but it seems just as cheap to buy the regular gaskets

Thanks.

Funny, the most recent replacement combustion fan I bought for my stove, for the first time, featured this silicon gasket you linked as opposed to the fabric gasket that's always come with it.

It seems like buying a 1/8" thick high temperature silicone sheet might be the way to go here to be able to cut out the shapes I need, either cheaper than buying them, or in a pinch when I am out of stock of a particular shape and need to make it.
