Maybe 15-20 years ago I was at a yard sale and saw the head of a peavey for a couple bucks. It followed me home. I already had one at home. It got painted with some orange paint and I shaved the bark off a small tree for the handle. It hasn’t been used a ton, but the times it has, it’s done its job wonderfully. It’s a good enough fix!

What are some of yours?

There is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution ...

I had a hard time stepping from my ladder onto my roof in the middle of the winter when the roof, right on the edge was covered in snow with ice underneath. I wanted to have a little platform that I could step onto sideways from my ladder, and then step forward onto the roof. I made a little platform that I thought would be temporary. This was a number of years ago. It still works great.

I’m hoping it’s held on by more than the plumbing strap? It’s a good idea!

We use these to mount a ladder to the bottom of a roof.

I like it. Whenever I have to step back onto a ladder to go down I feel like someone should be there just in case. I try to extend the ladder
way above if I can. Remember it's removeable, so the plumbing strap is only "good enough" Probably not "good enough" for me at 235

ohhh there's screws...they are removeable too
