Hello,

I am very close to pulling the trigger on a new saw the echo cs-490 looks like a good candidate. One of my must haves is a low vibration saw. I have tried to find echo specs on vibration but have had no luck , even emailed them and they stated they do not have this spec. So my quest. Anyone have experience with this saw if so how would you rate the " Good vibrations" ???

I don't have experience with that model, but I looked up the parts list and it has rubber AV buffers. If I were especially concerned about vibration, I would be looking at saws that have spring AV instead of rubber, and would steer away from the 490 on that basis.

I've had the chance to run a 490 and thought it was quite smooth although it had rubber mounts. It was much smoother than my MS250. I'd rate a 490 closer to my spring AV saws of that size (421 Dolmar and 353 Husqvarna) than other rubber mount saws. But that is just my opinion. Best bet is to try them for yourself first if possible.

Well the deed has been done. I went with the Jonsered CS 2253. This saw should last me a good long time, it also has good vibration specs.

Thanks everyone for the reply's to my quest.
