Got distracted

Took a day vacation with the hope of getting the rest of all the maple split and stacked that I plan to put up for the summer. I had a few hours left when low and behold I was staring down another big petrified red elm. I immediately stopped what I was doing and started on it. This will make another good mess of the stuff. All said and done I have at least 3 years worth of maple and red elm put up. Next is the hickory and then I will start dealing with all of this oak. Camera is down in need of batteries so I guess I made it all up.

Sounds like you're in the same boat I am; I'm working on soft Maple, White Ash and Red Elm, but a mountain of Oak is waiting for me after I get the stuff stacked that I need next winter. I found what I'm pretty sure is a Red Elm, biggest one I've found here so far. I'll drag my Red Elm post back up when I get into that...
