Grandpa Bear III install question

I am the new owner of a Grandpa Bear III stove with a top outlet and a new member of this form. I am planing on putting the stove in the corner. I have found a user manual and it says to have it be 36 inches from the wall to the corner of the stove. I am planing on building a radiator with tile on the face the intake will be under the stove. I am wondering if I can put the stove about 16 inches from the tile. The stove would end up being about 18 inches from the wall, and the radiator is planed to be about 3.5 to 4 feet tall.

Not legally in California. In states where it would be legal to install and use this stove, 36 inches is correct to combustible. When reduced clearances are approved, a properly designed heat shield with 1 inch air space to wall, raised from floor for circulation behind it decreases clearance by 66%. This 12 inch clearance is measured to combustible, not heat shield. Single wall pipe is 18" to combustible.

The size of shield needs to be large enough to maintain the 36 inch clearance from stove to unprotected wall.
