I have kind of a neat story I thought I'd share. I had an oak tree that was nearly dead that I've been figuring out how to cut down for a couple of years now. To the south is a power line, and to the north is the road. I couldn't get the county to drop it, or consumers, so me and some of the family and guys from the neighborhood tag teamed the beast. We dropped it across the road and my grandpa was confident that we could drag it out of the road with the big 4 wheel drive tractor. And just in case the tractor couldn't do it, he had his buddy come over with his four wheel drive tractor. Well, even with two four wheel drive tractors, we couldn't budge the tree. I ended up limbing it and pulling it out of the road in sections.
My primary saw is a 562xp that I put a 28 inch bar on for the job. Man. I've always loved this saw, but I was completely impressed after this job. It cut through the tree like butter. It wasn't even difficult. At one point I got the saw pinched and I had to use my grandpas 455 rancher. What a joke. If that was my saw, I'd throw it away lol. It didn't even compare. It was like a little toy saw in comparison.
Here are some pictures my wife got. It was really impressive. By far the biggest tree I've ever worked with and especially nerve racking because of the close proximity of the power line (which powers my house and all my neighbors haha).
