How have the green surpreme been burning this season? Looking to buy a couple of tons at Home Depot

I made a small air adjustment to both stoves and it’s burning great. Already gone through over a ton.

We burn corn in our M55, but mix pellets with it to keep the corn starch from building up on the auger. We use pellets to start it as well, and they've started it very nice so far! Seem to have decent quality anyhow.

There are several "flavors" of Green Supremes. It depends on which plant/state they are made at. There are HWs and blends. Unfortunately, a lot of times their latest packaging doesn't say anything about that. This is the last "Flavor" chart I could find back in 2023.

I can tell you that the Midwestern Hardwood, which was delivered spring of 2024, are extremely dusty and I have found clumps of sawdust in random bags. These are from unbroken pallets, unbroken bags, and the bags don't have breathing holes since they are hardwood. So there is no outsid influence for them to get moisture in there. I've had bags from literally the very middle of the pallet have clumps of sawdust in the middle of the bag (clumps are never at corners or seams of the bags), which tells me they were bagged with excess moisture.

My P61a shut down yesterday morning because I didn't notice a fist-sized clump and it blocked the funnel into the auger.

Normally I'm pretty forgiving with GS since they usually burn fairly well at a reasonable price and my stoves don't care. I can't wait to burn up this 4th ton to get it over with. Then, I'll open up the 3 tons delivered earlier this year and see if they say what they are, or are the generic bag.

The bags this year@ Home Depot don’t have a flavor they just say Green Supreme plus
We ordered 4 tons of Green Supreme Premium Plus from HD in the fall. So far they have been great. It has been hit or miss over the years. No indication of what is inside, but here is the bar code: 0 13238 00000 1. We are in New Hampshire. The HD driver is awesome. He uses his skills to push the 4 shrink-wrapped palletized pellets into our garage. A couple of years the drivers refused to do that, citing liability concerns. Really happy he does it. And, yes, we do tip the driver (above and beyond HD's delivery price)

All the HD drivers I've dealt with have been excellent and I've had some of the tons pushed into the garage (small garage, so need room to maneuver the pallets with the pallet jack).

I've never used the GS Plus - for all I know, that is what got delivered this past fall (I haven't opened them yet).
