In The Woods
We had a good windstorm in March that brought down some trees on this hill, the first 75 yards is pretty steep so I thought I would walk it to make sure nothing was down, hate coming down backwards because of a downed tree.

The trail was open but the winds started to get worse, a big wind gust came through after I was up on the hill so I decided that the rest of the trail can wait. At the far end is a Beech and a Maple, I'll get the Beech next weekend, the Maple might be another story (pics next weekend).

In the middle of the trail you can see some small Spruce or Hemlock which we will transplant some around the house. The chains come off the tires this week so this warm weather better get rid of all the snow & ice, still two hills off limits but should be open next week.

The plans are for stacking during the week, three cord going in the spot we had wood stacked for 2012-13, then cut on the weekends unless something changes.

It will finally be ready to run this week but the work will start on the weekend. The second hill (pic 7008) that was off limits last weekend had enough snow melt that it's open for cutting.
