The good kind. Shut the air down at 9:30 last night. Stove cruisen at 500° with a mix of wood, some being oak. Woke up this morn at 5:30am and stove top was sitting at 300°. The more I burn in this epa stove the more I like it. Thing of beauty :-)

Awesome. I can't get my 30 to cruise at 500F but I can at 600-650! Same experience for me last night. Loaded a full load of oak on some leftover coals at 9:15pm last night and had the air shut down by 9:30. The flue (probe) was cruising at 600F and the stove was at 650F by 10pm.

I woke up to a 78 degree house and a 300 degree stove at 6am with some good coals. Not bad when it is 1F out!!!

I burned wood for a lot of years before getting a modern epa stove. Once educated on how to operate one they are quite amazing. :)
