I have a harman accentra insert and I have read a bit about a external thermostat. My unit did not come with one. Should it have?

Harman pellet units ship with a wire that contains their version of a temperature sensor located in the end of it. If you don't see it anywhere, look at the owners manual to see where it plugs into the unit, then look to see if the wire is located UNDER the insert body.... When we install them, we leave the wire there so it reads the temperature of the air coming into the unit, altho it's not as effective when the OAK is used...

I use the wire provided by Harman, as DASKY said it should be under the stove, I moved mine to where the wire is as high off the ground as possible. For my application this gives the unit a more accurate temperature reading.
