p38 has developed auger squeal. i am looking for a step by step instruction on the removal of the auger.
thank you in advance for any help.

Shut the stove down, empty the hopper, turn it on test mode to get all the pellets out of the tube. Unhook the two connectors, take the fines cover off and rotate the slide plate arm out of the way. Loosen the bolt on the shaft and slide off auger motor. Then after that it's just two bolts on the auger plate and your good.

No problem. I've taken my auger out a few times because of the squeal. You can take the slide plate out and clean it also. Happy burning.

When you pull it ,try to see where its making contact with the auger tube. Clean it up with a file. Its moving pellets so the fit doesn't need to be so tight.
