Hi,

I just saw a video online of a guy cleaning his Harman P68 and inside he had three fire bricks in the back that he removed during cleaning. I picked my stove up use and it does not have these fire bricks but did see in the owners manual in the parts section they are listed.

Does anyone know if these are supposed to come with the stove or are they an accessory that you can add?

Second what purpose do they actually server in this stove?

Thanks
Glenn

As far as I know they come with the stove. I've never seen a P series Harman without them. They help protect the back wall of the stove and help keep heat away from mechanicals. There should be a small channel above the burn pot for 3 standard size fire brick to sit on.

You can kinda see them in this pic. I know the stove is dirty I took this pic after 2 weeks of running without opening the door just to see if it would.

ALL P68's are shipped with 3 fire bricks. Did you check your ash bin? Thats where they usually reside for shipping.

Thanks Everyone, I just talked to my dealer and he indicated that the stove must have these for safety. The previous owner must have removed these for one reason or another which I did not know. I will pickup a set of them from the dealer, hopefully they aren't too expensive.
