My Harman Advance over shoots the temperature setting on occasion. I'm thinking the room temperature sensor is either good or bad and I'm wondering what else I should be looking at?

Where is the probe located. I moved mine to the middle of the room using HVAC cable.

Mine is located 5 feet off the floor about 15 feet away from the stove same as it's been for about 15 years. In the past i've had to replace pots on the board and that's been an on or off issue in my experiance

I'd try a spare new thermistor probe or check the connections

I’ve always had my OEM probe coiled up just behind the stove and it keeps the temp within 5c, might be time for a new one or check the connections and continuity
