Hello everyone,
I have a few questions about the brick insulation that is not shown in the exploded parts view . Is this a consumable item by fire? Are these optional? I’m not sure if these were ever in place in my wood stove, and they have never been mentioned as missing during professional sweep/cleaning/regasketing of the wood stove by only local dealer.
I found the brick insulation listed in the parts available for my Exception when looking for the afterburner viewing window (steel) and clips.
I assume that these panels do two things, shielding stove exterior from heat, help maintain correct temperature.
I thank you for your reply and assistance again!
I am ordering a set as well as the afterburner steel.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I've never seen firebrick as optional. They aren't consumable, as in something that will burn, but may get worn down due to impact.
