Hi, I have a jotul firelight that I completely rebuilt a couple of years ago, pictures on this site. I now am in need of a new set of log retainer which I was more than willing to buy at the jotul price of about $27.00 each. Now I find out Jotul does not make them any longer and that Woodmans bought the rights and have them made. Issue is $80.00 each. thats a lot of money for me.
I saw your solution on using metal pipe to slip over the remaining part of the log retainer. Sounds great! Just a couple of questions
What kind of metal pipe did you use?
How long did it last?
THanks in advance.
I mistakenly posted this as a "conversation" and then realized that it really should go out to the entire forum.
THanks
