Heads up: 6"x36" Class A Supervent $55 at Menards

First post, go easy on me. I am not affiliated, etc. I saw the ad this morning and thought I would pass it along.

On a related note, I know that Class A chimney pipe is not the same as a chimney liner, but why wouldn't it work as one? If it were possible, I could reline my chimney for <$300 vs. >$500 for an insulated liner kit. I have searched, but can't find the answer.

I seen that on thier online add today also.We were just looking at them yesterday there and they were $62.99 each., So not too bad of a deal and I need to get some for a future install and dont have the extra cash right now. Just my luck.

That's a good question. I suppose you could, but supporting the class A would probably be the issue. And, it's really not an approved installation by the manufacturer, not the way the system is designed.

Too bad it wasn't 7" x 36"......I need one stick of that to complete my Napoleon ZC fireplace install.....just MY luck.......

You could probably use it as a liner, but the pieces of pipe come in 3ft sections. You wouldn't be able to lower one thru your flue and twist it to seat it in place. (They twist together.) That is the only reason I would you wouldn't be able to use it. A liner they just push it down thru your chimney unlit it comes out the bottom. ( it is one continues piece.)

If you have a Lowes nearby; take the printed off flyer from the Menards website and they will match it and take another 10% off. I just picked up 30 feet of it from three different Lowes and got each one for $49.55...

and at 1 Lowes they had a sale for the 8 inch Supervent from $85 down to $55.

Was at Lowe's near Ann Arbor today, 6x36 was $87.
