I purchased a pe super le wood stove. It only requires ember protection. I know the materials I am going to use but not 100% sure about adhesives and what not. Looking for advice on how to do this properly.
Hearth construction is i removed carpet and padding down to subfloor. Building a 2x4 frame topped with 3/4 plywood. 2 layers of Hardee cement board and finished with porcelain tile.
Do I need liquid nail along with screws just for extra securement for plywood to frame.
Do I need anything between the Hardee cement board and plywood or between The 2 layers of Hardee board or should all of that just be screwed together.
Last I should use thin set motor for porcelain tile followed by sanded or non sanded grout.
This will be permanent and last 30+ years. So I want to build it to last. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to construct this with the materials I will be using is greatly appreciated. Thanks
