Hello all. I have just moved home and this is in the front room. It's a small gas fire that doesn't really heat the room, more decorative but I am not overly keen on the style. Someone suggested to me about spraying it gloss black with, of course a suitable paint. I believe its cast and is currently Matt black with the exposed 'brass' colour. I am not entirely sure what its made of as when I was removing some emulsion paint from the previous owners DIY, the black came off leaving the brassy colour. Would it be sacrilege to paint it or for the best?

Many thanks

Nick

It's your stove, your choice. I kind of like the deco quality as it, but your call entirely.
