Help removing fan blade from motor on KOZI stove

The exhaust fan motor went on our 5 year old KOZI pellet stove. We decided to save the $50 and buy just the new motor and use the old fan blades. Except now my husband can't get the fan off the motor no matter what tool he uses. Is there a trick? Help

I haven't had experience with this, exactly, but last year we had excellent customer service from the Kozi people up north. They told us how to fix a switch and walked us through it - lots of instructions and even offered to walk us through on the phone.

Nice to see a fellow Kozi owner on the board. Ours is an old tank compared to our new p61 but they can both put out some heat!

Hi Lake Girl!

The rest of the season wasn't too bad - wasn't nearly as cold as the subzero temps of January when we had only a broken kozi to stare at while we huddled on the couch to stay warm
We had insulation and air sealing done on the entire house - add the p61 and we were much happier. Still trying to figure out the best setting - it seemed like we used a lot more pellets in the p61 than I expected. We finally got the Kozi up and running - between the two, the downstairs was pretty warm. We have a poor layout so we have to buy a few little fans to push the air around. Upstairs was colder - upstairs bedroom has NO heating vents. The floor was warmed up by the p61 below it - so it was about 4 or 5 degrees warmer upstairs but it's not enough! We are working to install vents with a powered fan so we can pull some of the air up out of the den (with the p61). The insulation definitely helped. We just purchased some insulated curtains too - I think that will make a difference. Still have to purchase more (there are a lot of windows in the den/p61 room). I can pretty much see the BTUs flying out these old antique windows! I think trying to keep the btus in will make a huge different. We have some air sealing done, need to do a little more....the list never ends

Heating the fan hub with a torch will make it expand faster than the shaft does. The larger the object the more heat makes it expand and the collar is larger in diameter than the shaft.
Then a couple of light taps on the end of the shaft should break it loose.
