Help with a whitfield advantage II pellet stove ash problems

Hi Thank you for any info ..I just bought a used Whitfield advantage II pellet stove.I cleaned if outside with a leaf blower so it was good and clean ..Once I got it installed I replaced all the seals around the door and glass and ash pan door.The stove heats really good but I'm having problems with ash around the burn pot (look at picture) .I have messed around with the air setting and got it to the point where there is no black soot on the glass but not all the ask falls down in the ash pan.Can anyone give me any info on what is wrong with this stove please ..The pictures are taking 3 hr after cleaning the

Just the way it is I believe. Its no spring chicken. I use one for a camp heater. Try some softwood pellets that have lower lighter ash?

Just the way it is, as Bioburner stated...
Have an A2T.
During the week, I start up at 7pm ish, off ~ 12 hours later. typically a bag, and have to clean next to the grate. Weekends, Start up friday 7pm, and shut off sunday am, and it is really needs a cleaning... Just piles up.
As far as keeping the glass clean, I gave up ages ago... couldn't keep it nice and clean...
So, I just clean it periodically, and adjust the air for good burn, without giving too much..
Not sure which controller you have, but, if you have the "button version", if it starts doing "strange things" when trying to start it (line not starting), time for new/rebuild on the controller.
Mine has been going for 18 years, 1 controller (2 years ago), and 1 augur motor. 2 - 3 tons a year (supplement a hard to heat family room)..
Just a little oil every year in both (room and combustion) motors (and the cleanings).

Perfectly normal, that's where most of the ash goes....around the burnpot!!

We have 2 Whits, and one is a Advantage 2T (Same stove)

The ash piles up high around the pot.

Actually, very little drops down the grate into the pan underneath.

Bought same exact stove last year. Took some cleaning and fine tuning, but it is now running a champ. MT winter has set in and been running pretty steady since mid October. Great old stove....very happy with it....a little TLC and this stove will keep you warm all day and night! Been running 5 days straight with little ash and no problems.

Not dangerous at all. When I was up in Montana I would clean the stove every week except once or twice I went two weeks between cleaning, the stove just kept chugging right along. I probably wouldn't let it get much further than in Pellet-Kings post though.
