first year using a pellet stove. We're using okanagan Douglas fir currently and the flame is to the roof of the stove which is a castle serenity. It was over feeding before and I adjusted the air gate to 3/4 open. Now some pellets blow out and the flame is high and lazy. Any suggestions on settings or steps to fix this?

3/4 open is most likely too much air. My Serenity air gate is at about 1/3 and my exhaust is set at 90 for 1-3 - 95 for 4 and 105 for 5. I have never used 5 except to test and used 4 when the temp was hovering at minus 35. My norm is setting 1 or 2 with an occasional 3.
Oh ok thanks. How about your blower voltage? All of mine are at 115v. My exhaust is 90-85-85-85-100.
