econoburn patched up. Did a test fire 2 days ago, temp reading started at about 40 degrees, started fire, temp started falling (never went up at all) until it got to about minus 30 degrees and then the pressure relief valve blew several times over several hours. Controller started showing "error" and fan turned off. After it cooled off, error cleared, and fan restarted. Never seen that before. Called Dale, he isn't sure. Checked boiler today, no leaks, temp started at 50 degrees, started another smaller fire, temp started falling (never went up at all), stopped feeding it when it hit 30 degrees, don't want to blow the relief valve again. any ideas?

Hi Mauler
How old is your Econoburn?
There were some controller issues with the first series of controllers.Mine took a dump after a couple of heating seasons.
I was able to run mine without the controller. But i have storage so overheating wasn't an issue.I wired an extension cord to one of my aquastats and let the temp shut off the fan when it was up to max temp on the aquastat.I ran it like that for a couple of weeks till i got a replacement controller.

Did you get it from the factory like that, or did you make a mistake hooking it up?

It is good to hear they could help you get it fixed quickly.
