I picked this up off the side of the road today. Basic research tells me this coal stovr was likely made in Taunton, MA . The stand says 1904 but the unit itself says 1905.

Anyone have any further knowledge of these kinds of stoves?

If you had this, what would you do with it?

Beautiful stove! If I didn’t have practical use for it I’d give it a cosmetic facelift and sell to someone with a fancy old house where it would fit in. Or an old house in town being used as a lawyers office or some such thing.

That's a castiron cylinder stove which is less common. Check it over carefully for cracks if the intent is to use it. The grates often are missing parts so verify all is there.

For more info, contact some of the antique stove companies like Ginger Creek.
