I’m going to be driving cross country soon, what are your gas prices?

Not sure today, but I'm sure it's around $1.90/l. Gas has been going back up as crude futures go up due to you know what and who.

I was in Montreal a few days ago and everywhere I saw was right around $1.86 CAD per liter. Just under $5US/gal

It’s all over the place, generally cheaper in the prairie provinces and more expensive in the east and BC. Personally I’d be more concerned where you convert your US $ to Canadian $.

Enjoy your trip, lot to see and do.

Probably will hand over the plastic and let Visa do the exchange rate!

I’m hoping I can skirt north of your big campfire!

Winnipeg to Montreal, lol. All data points are relevant!
Check the wildfire status first. It could be a very smoky trip. I read there were 838 wildfires burning in Canada as of yesterday. It's a bad situation.

Yeah, no really good way to avoid the mess!

I picked up a few hepa cabin air filters. I figure they’re going to plug up in this. They did make an immediate improvement after I installed one.

We have Canadian lung cancer weather here. Yesterday the sun was visible, though very orange.
Today the sun is not visible. I believe no (water based) clouds.
I can even smell that it's sappy wood (pine, for etc) that's burning.

We have a fire in New Brunswick that we are getting smoke from, but I couldn't tell on my walk. Right now its heading south east from the Canadian North West

Depending on how the winds are blowing, you may be able to dodge the worst smoke along the Trans-Canadian Hwy. This is the current air quality. I feel for the folks in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio. I have never seen readings as high as they are in Toledo, OH right now (790!) That is worse than New Delhi.

I'm not between Winnipeg and Montreal but it's 1.85/L (6.99/gal) in southern BC.
Fuel is higher today than earlier in the week, and the motorcycle needs gas... I'll need at least 7 litres...
Skies are a touch smoky but visibility must be at least 50kms.

Enjoy your trip, I've always wanted to drive across Canada.
