I own a small landscape co. In addition to my full time job. Work in law enforcement and permanent 3-11. So in the summer I mow in the winter I hunt anything with feathers with my labs. Well one of my clients asked if I wanted some logs to save them
Some money so the tree guy didn't charge the have them hauled away . She showed me the trees she wanted out & I said leave everything . 3 black locust, one maple, one sycamore. This is what I pulled into today ! I'm guessing about 5/6 cords. That line of logs is about 45 ft long & I can take my time getting it out as they are going on vaca for the next 2 weeks. Doesn't matter, they live a quarter mile away. How's sycamore to burn ? It's o

Sycamore could be ready by fall. I give ALL softwoods ,soft maple, poplar, walnut , pine and so on 2 years. Good snag on wood

Nice score. From what I've read sycamore is similar to American elm as far as burning/seasoning.

I burn poplar and soft maple here after 1 summer but I'm in a little different climate
