Are you SURE that's what the sale said?? I think it said "4 tons, you get $100 off"....that means $25 off each ton.

I could be wrong, but $199/ ton at HD sounds VERY low. Did you actually buy them?

Very misleading info.
The price is $300.00/ton
the most "save" cost is $200.00 when buying 5 tons. That is to say, 5 tons X $300.00 ea. = $1500.00

$1300.00 total / 5 tons = $260.00/ton
delivery is $65.00+ tax

factor in the delivery cost and the best price is $273.00/ton from the Home Depot.

The only this I noticed with the fireside ultras is is ash is a hard pumice like ash. Heat is fair. I will use these in early winter then switch to the lignetics or cleanfire I have both.

.....i had set 225/ton as the price i'm willing to pay this year for pellets. i will go tomorrow and put in my 5 ton order. if they charge too much for delivery i will rent a truck for 20 dollars because i'll have to stack them anyway......

I think most HD stores have a $60 or 70 flat rate delivery for as much as you buy on one order. So, if you bought 5 tons, it should work out to about $12-14 per ton, so you'd still be in your $229 window easily, and they will put them where you want with the forklift.

My bad back would give a BIG thumbs-up to that deal! :lol:

.....i went today and bought 5 tons of Fireside Ultras for $209/ton plus a $65 dollar delivery charge for the whole order. their own staff at home depot cant believe it....

Now THAT is a great deal for the price of the pellets, AND the delivery ($13/ton)...so you paid $222 to have them bring it to you and deliver w/ a forklift.....your back must be saying "Thank you!" already.

The Home Depot stores in my area of wisconsin don't even have pellets yet. I wish they did, 'cause they price you east coasters are getting them for is pretty good, and they are usually cheaper here in the midwest.
