That sounds like a good deal. Will go and check my local store. I am guessing this winter will be cold for the Northeast so getting the pellets early will protect against shortages. My guess that it will be cold is only based on the previous winters being mild so I am guessing it is time for a cold one. That and the possibility that many stores won't order an much pellets because of slack demand the previous years. Not to mention the Houston disaster. Will it affect heating oil supply this winter?

It depends on your area. In mine, they generally have limited supplies of presto logs and timber heat early on, and then lots of stove chow.
