So, we did some hand-me-down clothes exchange with my sister for the kids. We exchanged a couple bags of clothes. First thing I noticed is that Sis uses way too much fabric softener. Really overpowering smell, but I was too polite to mention anything.
She later tells me her kids said their bag of clothes "smells like cousin Will's house." And she agreed. She said it "smells like wood." I figured she meant smoke, I have had some trouble mastering the draft in the Oslo and smoked up the house several times, setting off the fire alarm at least twice. But no, she said it actually smelled like wood paneling, not smoke. Don't know if she's being polite, but apparently our new way of life here has created a characteristic scent. Has anyone else had this happen?
