I had a contractor install this chimney to my stove last year, and I recently noticed that there is a gap between the stove pipe and collar that goes around it. I can see daylight through it! There is clear silicon on the outside of the house, so water is not getting through. Any thoughts on how to fix this? How about that black stove silicon? Having the contractor fix it is not an option. The pics hopefully will clarify my problem.

Black silicone should be fine there. The temps will be warm, but not hot.
