how far can the stove pipe be from an inside wall ?

hi guys,
i have been searching around the site, but i cannot seem to find my answer.
i know how far to place the stove itself from walls, based on the manufacturers info that came with the stove,
but i was wondering, how far can a double walled 6" stove pipe be from the interior finished walls as it goes from the top of the stove to the ceiling of the room it sits in ?

My double wall pipe has a sticker on it that lists 6" clearance to combustibles. That is measured perpendicular to the pipe.
