I purchased and installed a Progress Hybrid over the summer. It is an amazing wood stove. I am so impressed by its ability to heat our house and its burn times. I have been getting the stove up to around 450 degrees (on the stove top) with a half load of wood, catalytic converter engaged, and about 1/2 to 1/4 air. It is going to be around 30 degrees tonight and I am thinking about cranking it up a little more. For those of you with a PH, how hot do you let your PH get? It is my understanding that 600 degrees is about the max?

My manual says 600-700 degrees stovetop is high heat range. It also says in all caps DO NOT GO OVER 700. I have had mine up to 650 before, it's throwing some heat let me tell you.
