Can't find info in the manual or on their website......

thanks Mike, might be helpful to have that info available on the website..

According to the specs Home Depot has for it max output is 48,000 BTU.

OK, lets be clear....

What does "capable of" mean?

Does this mean input in terms of the number of pellets it can burn?
If so, 40K would be about 5 lbs per hour or a bag in 8 hours. Maybe 30,000 BTU output.......if lucky.

hey you guys are catching on , this would be based on input values , makes ya wonder about the stoves that are rated at 60Kbtu , meaning they would have to burn 10 lbs/hr according to your math , (which i agree with by the way), or feed at 7.5 lbs/hr (4 to5.5 hour bag) the pdv can feed up to 6 lbs/hr if the pellets are of the smaller(shorter) variety but to be honest ,burning that much fuel is insane and would literally never be called on , the transfer rate is not going to keep up with the burn rate much past 30Kbtu in my opinion anyway.
