Hey guys! This is my first year with an EPA stove, curious as to how much wood you guys have gone through this year so far? I'm almost at the 1 cord mark been burning 24/7 for the most part since mid November, averaging 3 loads a day maybe 4 on the weekends and colder day. Hasn't been near as cold as last winter here in pa yet.

There was just a thread on here with the same topic. Maybe go back a page...or 2. You are on par with most everyone.
I started the last week in October and I went straight into my high BTU wood. We started the season with a nasty cold snap here. Im burning Beech and Black birch and oak. Those are woods that I usually reserve for jan/feb.

I'm at a cord. Just burning a mix of ash and cherry with some locust. I hoard my 3 and 4 year oak. I like burning it when really cold with snow. Probably Jan and Feb. can't wait.

Probably a cord too, November was on average colder than December has been so far here in the bluegrass state......

Blaze King Princess installed November 15, stacked 16inch long Larch in 4' x4' rack on back porch =1/6 cord ,went through two in a month so about 1/3 cord. It hasn't been overly cold YET.

Last year at this time, over 2 cords. This year, 1.5 cords. I see the difference in my oil bill, as I burned 84 gallons in the month of November 2013, and 164 gallons in November 2014. Just haven't been as committed to keeping the second stove going 7 days a week, this year.

Still less than a cord but I was out of town for almost 2 weeks late Nov and earlier this month. Burning Red/White Oak, Black Locust and Mulberry and loving the BTU's.

Just about a cord of pine so far,has not been that cold. I will be bringing the good hard wood up on porch this weekend. All I know have not heard the heat kick on once so far this winter other than the boiler for the hot water.

More than I planned to so far!. It was a cooler than normal November and December plus I have back off on using my minisplit.. I got two years ahead this year so worse case is raid the year old stuff at the end of the season and hope for an early spring.

About a cord also, but mine isn't an EPA stove. It's a 40 year old dinosaur, and I've been burning since October.

I just have a well insulated house I guess. I keep the house at 73. Pregnant wife problems. :)

Creeping up on a cord here. This weather is perfect for my small insert. It will be overmatched in a couple of weeks.

Close to a cord: didn't have the backup (new geo system) until 6 November so the Quad was on full-time duty.

One cord per stove from November till now.

Just got off of the phone with Tommy. His pick up (8' bed) is in pulling here atleast 3 times this weekend.

Insurance.

Merry Christmas to Dixie, from Dixie

I'm at 3 cord of pine. and 1/4 of maple and cherry. I'm using a big boiler for 2 houses and DHW in both, no oil except for the once a week cleaning it will come on sometimes.

2 cord so far burning since October. But our heat has run exactly zero times since 10/1/14.

Little over a cord so far. Been burning here since Mid-October. The real test comes the next two and a half months. It's been a calmer winter than last year so far, but technically it's not even winter yet. ::-)

I am at about 1 3/4-2cords so far of mixed hard woods. Been burning since October. Was burning off and on in Oct, and pretty much 24/7 from Nov on. Except for a few warm days.

Seems I'm on par with everyone else, I'd guess around 1 cord so far. Burning shorties and uglies when I can

Have not touched my stacks yet. Burning uglies, branches, twigs, hollow logs that I had set aside. I was just thinking about quantity I have burned. Hard to estimate accurately, but certainly not more than 2 face cords (I believe more like 1 1/2) and a bunch of real twigs that I use (a) to clean up the cut trees an (b) to get a hot fire quickly. Will be starting on my stacks very soon...probably by Christmas.
