Hello everyone,,
My old home had a gas fireplace and we never used it. Moved into a different house this year and it also has one but for some reason I'm afraid the whole house will burn down. Are these really safe to use or what do I need to watch out for?

Gas leaks and carbon monoxide are really the only issues with them.

A properly installed modern gas fireplace is about as safe as it gets.

As long as it was installed correctly and serviced it is as safe as your gas furnace.
