Hello - had our first fire of the season last night and the blower on my Hampton HI300 wood burning insert was cycling on and off as the fire died out. I've had the insert for about 3 years, and have never cleaned the fan assembly. I'm assuming it needs some cleanup. Unfortunately, I cannot remove the assembly from the insert. I checked the manual and searched around online with no luck. It looks like it just slides under the main unit, but I can't get it to slide out. Is there a trick I'm missing?

It should just pull out, theres clips that hold it tight to ash lip. I just installed mine yesterday, dont remeber anything else holding it.

I have the same stove u need to place both hands grasp from underneath if u can on both sides as far out to the edges on the middle peice only and pull hard simultaneously. .it will come out may tske some minor back and forth
Does the snap disk mount on a bracket that you can adjust so it makes good contact? My fan has never cycled on and off.
Yes, it's on a bracket and looks like it presses against the underside of the stove. There was a mark where I assume it was touching, but the whole unit was dusty. I'm guessing some dust worked it's way in there and made the contact less than ideal. Hopefully it'll work better next time.

What do u mean by cycling? Mine turns on after about twenty mins then shuts off when when it almost cools down thats about as much cycling as it does. If it doesn't start up on its own just bend out the bracket a little not too much now. It should snap on on its own

Hi I'm new to this forum I had a stove company install my stove and put my surround together. They ended up snapping a bolt outing it together uneven and not tightening most of the bolts. I ended up taking it apart and redoing it. It looks like they accidentally took the clips that go under the ash lip to mount the fan with them.
My question is are there only two clips and does any one have a pic of what the clips look like mounted before the fan is pushed on in case I have to buy and install them myself?

Just 2 clips hold it up and in place.
They just pushed the fan in place with nothing holding it and thought that was ok? Hope they didnt hack the rest of the install up!
