Husky YTH1848XP lawn tractor drive belt/brakes ???

I replaced the drive belt on my Husky YTH1848XP lawn tractor.
Drives great ... no brakes..
I had to replace the V belt pulley.
It's obviously installed wrong.
I have no problems, but Mario Andretti (wife ) has one...
I'm open for some help.
 
Read the manual, lol. Seriously, there's a diagram. I have a similar Husky lawn tractor that I replaced the mower belt last year, but don't recall why you wouldn't have brakes. I recall that putting on the brake disengages the belt. Maybe it's installed wrong and that feature isn't working.
