A friend has a Husky 142 which he likes very much but the bar is not oiling enough. Is there an adjustment for this? Thanks.

Nope...first check the holes in the bar and clean the groove out. Then try running without the bar, chain, and cover on it and see if it is pumping oil. If not, the line is pluged or the pump is bad. Or it is to cold for the oil you are running but doesn't take to long to warm it up with a hot saw.

Thank you jack33! I shall tell my pal; No adjustment? I run larger saws so do not know if these small ones have adjustments!

The parts to completely replace the oil pump on that saw should be well under 10 dollars. Mostly plastic, ain't it wonderful?
