I.A. Sheppard & Co. Potbelly Stove - Oval to 6" Round Adapter

Hi all,

Purchased this I.A. Sheppard Potbelly stove awhile back. Has anyone seen one like this? I'd like to get the stove connected to my 6" round stove pipe. Can anyone suggest a source for the adapter to a 6" round pipe? The oval dimensions (outside) are 2 5/8" x 4 3/4". Would this have to be custom made? Should the adapter go down inside of the stove or around the outside? If inside those dimensions would be a bit smaller. How would that be attached the stove? Thank you for your time.

Maybe try ovalizing some 4" round stove pipe and see if the crimped end will fit?
