I do, I sincerely do.

Back to the PE keeping the house bearable, Kick in the 13 as needed. It's running tonight.

It's raining, and I hope alot of the ice underneath gets washed away before we get hit next week. Again.

Coupla splits in the stoves, and it's 75 in the den, 65 in the kitchen. I'll take it.

Stacks are taking a serious hit. Working on getting that problem rectified right quick.

So, how was your day???

Brought in about 1/4 cord and stacked it up by the house. Shoveled out a path to the last cord of seasoned wood. It's been warm the last two days, snow is soft/melting. Cold weather is coming and I was afraid the snow by the next rackes would freeze up and we'd never get that wood out.

Icky weather on the way (again).

Here Wisconsin's forecast for west of us:

Potentially dangerous storm expected to hit Wisconsin

A powerful, complex and potentially dangerous storm system expected to slam into Wisconsin on Thursday could dump up to a foot of snow on northwestern Wisconsin and cause near blizzard conditions in the south central part of the state, according to the National Weather Service in Sullivan.

Hazardous driving conditions are expected throughout the state Thursday morning and throughout Thursday night, including the morning and afternoon commutes, the weather service reports.

Scott Walker declares state of emergency before winter storm
A (broken link removed) has been declared by Gov. Scott Walker as a powerful and potentially dangerous winter storm bears down on Wisconsin.

Heavy snowfall, freezing rain, and strong winds are expected, and some areas of west central and northwest Wisconsin could receive more than 12 inches of snow beginning early Thursday, according to Walker's declaration.

The executive order will ready Wisconsin Emergency Management, the Wisconsin National Guard, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Natural Resources and the Wisconsin State Patrol, according to the declaration.

Yeah, great 40*F.....everything melting, now to deal with the muddy yard, and the Black Ice last night and this morning (schools on a 2 hour delay)....but still happy to see the rise in temps

Rainfall warning for
Smiths Falls - Perth - Eastern Lanark County issued

Major storm bringing 25 to 50 mm of rain today and Friday.

An Alberta clipper and Texas low will be tracking towards the Great Lakes today where they will merge and rapidly intensify. This storm system will bring rising temperatures to Southern Ontario along with significant precipitation and strong winds.

Rain is expected to begin over Southwestern Ontario near midday then spread eastward to the Golden Horseshoe this afternoon reaching the Kingston area late this afternoon. Rain will reach the Ottawa Valley Friday morning. There is a chance that a brief period of snow, freezing rain or ice pellets may precede the rain as temperatures rise from just below freezing to above.

Total rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 mm are expected over the warned areas, with the highest amounts forecast to be in the Windsor-Sarnia to Niagara-Hamilton corridor, then along the north shore of Lake Ontario. In addition, thunderstorms will be possible over Southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe, and may result in locally higher rainfall amounts. Significant snow melt due to the rising temperatures will also be a concern.

As the rain comes to an end from west to east Friday, winds will increase out of the southwest with gusts to 70 or 80 km/h possible, particularly along the great lake shores.

Meteorologists continue to monitor the development of these weather systems.

For the first time in over a month I saw snow melt all on its own today!!!!!!
:);lol==c:eek:_g:);lol !!!! Oh yeah!

To add the icing to it, we got our first full 8 hour billable day in over a month AND never had to put on a pair of gloves or a hat!

I know it's not here to stay, but it's a taste of things to come.

Earth to Shari, Earth to Shari ... come in please ;lol

48F ish here today. I can now officially walk from the back door to the car with out walking on ice, if I plan my trajectory perfectly

This weekends plan, restock the firewood on the back deck, and load the house from the main stacks, which I will finally be able to get to after 3 weeks, before I can't get to them again.

Oh, the turn outs are manure soup at the moment, under layed by ice. Learned the hard way Mud Ruckers aren't the best on ice >>

Here, too. We're not that far away.

Dix, today I used about a half bucket of sand to spread on the ice so I could bring wood from barn to porch. But all is not lost. We can see a couple of bare spots in the driveway. But there won't be much melting this coming week. However, if I am right, the first of March is only one week away. Hooray!

Melting nicely, but with mega snowbanks not much "spillway" for the melt water; overnight re-freezes have left a lot of ice in their wakes. I figure I'll put the YakTrax into storage long about April 15... and it's shaping up to be one helluva mud season. I am, however, relieved to hear the pleasant sound of water trickling in the gutters and down the spouts.

Cats are very pleased by the warmth of the sun beaming through the plastic panels on the south side of the porch and the availability of new "litter" along the foundation of the barn... ;)

Went riding today on the sled . . . felt like Spring riding . . . some snow, some snirt and a few places where it seemed as though I was on a Sea Doo instead of a Ski Doo with big puddles of melted snow (aka water). Felt great . . . winter comes back Monday though.
