So we are removing our wooden mantel/ surround and are going with tile!
The pic is now.....
This is the stove we are getting in brown - http://hampton-fire.com/Wood/Inserts/HI300/index.php
This is the tile that will be used on the floor and to frame the opening where the insert slides up (just to have a level surface): (broken link removed to http://daltileproducts.com/series.cfm?series=246&log=4#3753) Golden sun 12x12
This is the tile for the walls: (broken link removed to http://daltileproducts.com/series.cfm?series=247&log=4#)
On the fence for bejing green or golden sun, it has lots of depth and texture....
What do you think?!

We had to extend our hearth out so we are using slate tiles from Lowes, they are super cheap, $2.14SF I looked at Daltile and they have some great stuff, but Lowes had a similar color of slate, easier access and alot cheaper than DAL retail.
