I just ran across this article on the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety web site:

Use of Wood-Burning Stoves and Other Solid Fuel-Burning Heating Appliances

It's a relatively short article and worth reading for anyone, like myself, who lives in Massachusetts and is in the process of installing or having installed a solid fuel heating appliance. Most of the information in the article is common sense, but there are a few things that I didn't know; for example, make sure your installer has a Construction Supervisor License (CSL).

The Massachusetts Building Code is also accessible through the Public Safety web site.
