Think my ignitor went out last night. Cleaned stove good with shop-vac. Would not light after that. Can't see ignitor getting hot so I assume this is the problem. Stove is 4 yrs old. Mt. Vernon AE.
If you got 4 years out of your ignitor, you did real good. It is easy to replace, I usually always make sure I have one on hand for when it decides to quit. I think They are around $45 a piece. Just make sure you run the wire through the notch in the autoclean bracket or else you may end up cutting the wire when it autocleans.gonhunting said:Think my ignitor went out last night. Did you vaccum underneath in the ashpan area that maybe you hit where the wire connects to the ignitor and maybe broke the connection, I had a new igniter that did not work right when I put it in because this connection had broke and I couldn't see it because of the white wrapping around it. If you remove the ignitor you should be able to see where it burned through if it is bad if not you can use a multi meter and ohm it out to see if it is badgonhunting said:thanks guys. i have replaced one already. same time last year. was hoping to get more then one year out of it.
