I swapped out my single wall metal fab stove pipe for double wall. I did this because I installed it to close to combustibles. And thanks to everyone on this site they pointed me in the right direction. I posted some pics on a another thread but wasn't sure if it went through properly.
I had a real difficulty installing the double wall. At the stove top there is no way to secure with the self tapping screws provided and I had to man handle it to get the inner portion to fit.
Secondly, the telescoping inner kept falling down into the large section, and there was not any place again for screws at the seams.
Third, at the support box the screws were no where near long enough to connect the two.
Gravity is what is actually keeping everything together more or less. But i did put a couple of tappers at the seams between the telescoping pieces. And one screw bit just enough at the support box
Do the pics look ok.. I am just second guessing myself
