I just burned my forehead on my stove. It's entirely possible I'll have a scar.

That is all. Nothing left to see here.

Thanks. It's not a terrible burn but you know how burn marks tend to stick around a while.

Should be fun explaining this to every person I see for the next couple of weeks. (I'd put some kind of smiley here if I knew how).

Luckily I was able to laugh at myself.

Those 30s are mean suckers. The first season with mine I didn't swing the door but halfway open and I turned back from sticking in splits and laid my chin right on top of the end of the door. It did in fact leave a scar. I think I see a class action here.

PS: Just kidding Ron England.

How would you have your head/face the low to the stove.
Are you guys midgets and not telling us?
Now is when I have to ask for pics of the damage
;)

I refuse to say another word until someone tells me how you're winking and such

Maybe they should make a smiley with a little scar.

...sorry

When you go to post a reply to a post in a thread, do you not see the word "smileys" in blue below the word "Message" just to the left of the box into which you are to type your response? You have to enable pop-ups from this site, then you have a little menu of smileys from which to choose. Rick

EDIT: Oh yeah...you gotta click on the word "Smileys" to get the little Smiley menu to pop up. 8-/

I think this guy should be added to the library of smileys. Thanks for the idea, jeffee.

No worries. Tonight during the initial burn of my new boiler I noticed water dripping out of a plug I put in an unused tap at the bottom of the boiler. I leaned over with an open end wrench to tighten it an put my forehead accidently up against a piece of hot 1- 1/14" copper. Hurt like hell.
Laughed at myself as well.

You didn't mark up that Englander 30 with your dirty forehead did you? :)

I burned my right hand last night on the door latch on my 30. A nice inch long oval centered between my wrist and the base knuckle of my thumb. Hurt like a son-of-a-gun last night. Today it's not been too bad.

I'm just glad it wasn't my forehead! Nobody noticed mine at work today... ;)

Yeah, and my assistant at work as a way of noticing EVERYthing. No worries. I'll declare it proudly.

Some of us don't have to stoop over to keep from bumping the ceiling. :coolsmirk: Ya know. Like that little guy that kicked your butt in high school.

, all I can say is that I don't think they make head shaped welders golves. Hmmm, maybe a helmet?

Sorry to hear about the burn... we'll compare it to the back of my hand, that I did 5 weeks ago...still looks like CARP!

I’m not sure how else to put it so I’ll just say it. I was on my knees blowing at the stove.

Sorry, I was doing that tonight, too....

You obviously have more practice since you managed not to hurt yourself. :shut:

You should see my hand :red:

Awwww!! You got branded! I really think we need to see a picture... you know, to warn those of us who might be tempted to do the same thing :)
