Hi,
I would like to convert our existing factory built Superior HCE4050a (about 15 years old) with a wood burning insert. I've talked to a dealer that sells Quadra fire and jotul stoves. The dealer was not sure that an insert would work in my fireplace since this models has louvers? The louvers are above and below glass doors. I think they are also called air circulating vents? I have sent a question to Lennox since they now own Superior but have not heard back.
Does anyone know what having louvers has to do with the compatibility of inserts.
Is there a work-around for this prob?
Thanks
