Hello, I recently purchased a Harman P38+ that will be installed below grade. I am going to install using a clean out tee, a 6' rise and then 2' through the wall with the wall thimble. My question is how do I need to install the wall thimble. I purchased ICC EXCELPellet vent piping. The installation instructions allude to a rough frame to mount the thimble. I'm okay with doing that but then what does the outside flange get screwed too? I have vinyl siding. Does it go over or under the siding??Any help will be greatly appreciated as I am very new to the pellet game. Thanks.

i have been thoroughly happy with the EXCEL venting.
no tape, no sealant, no leaks.

i didn't do the install myself.
the tech who did brought his helper with him.
he said one person could do it, but that fitting the pipes together was easier w/ two people.
one holding each section
i think it's just because of the inner seals. i'm sure you'll be fine. just a heads up on what i've seen. : )

^i'm guessing you will have the manual with the kit. but just in case.

"2. Ensure that the silicone gasket provided is firmly placed in its groove before
attempting to assemble the lengths. Put a small amount of liquid dish soap (or
equivalent lubricant) on each gasket to make the lengths easier to assemble. Do not
use a petroleum-based lubricant. Align the lengths and push firmly. Once assembled,
verify that the gasket is not visible from the inside and is completely enclosed
between the two sections of pellet vent. If any portion of the gasket is visible, it is not
properly installed and may leak during operation. Use the screws provided to secure
the lengths together."
