Question:

I just purchased a boxwood deluxe wood stove from a dealer in MI ( I am from NY). The stove does not include the pipes, fittings, etc. There is a dealer near me - is it possible that he could install the stove even thought I did not buy the stove from him? If he will not, who do I call to install the stove - what type of technician should I look for? Thanks.

Answer:

Some dealers will install stoves that they did not sell, but others may be too busy at this time of year to accommodate you. Certain chimney sweep have experience with this type of installation...make certain you use one certified by a national org. Also, try the links at http://www.nficertified.org - these are installers that have passed a tough testing procedure.
