I have some questions about installing a MB40. I have a oil boiler now and I know I need a dump zone for the wood(actually it will be coal)boiler. So why cant I use a swing check valve instead of a normal open zone valve. That is my first question. I will start with that.

So what I am thinking is if you installed a swing check backwards in the dump zone loop install it close to the circulator pump. When it is running the check valve is closed and when/if power goes out it will open up.
