Can anyone tell me what the status is on the intergrated burner/log sets that came out a short time ago?
By intergrated, I mean both the fire logs and the burner are molded,(I believe), as a one piece unit.
I believe, Quadrafire and some other companies came out with these about a year or two ago.
It seems like a good idea, since you don't have to worry about adjusting the arrangement of the seperate fire logs on burner to prevent flame impingement, there by reducing sooting inside the firebox of the fireplace, stove,or insert.
I technician recently told me that Quadrafire already did away with this system because of problems with this design.
Can anyone elaborate on this system.

Thanks,
John
